In the first ITF event in QLD: Daniel won three rounds of qualifying (beating two seeded players along the way) and his first round main draw match to make the round of 16. Casey also qualified (beat the number 2 seed in qualies) but lost a hard fought first round match. Casey won two close doubles matches with Talia and made the quarters. Talia received a main draw wildcard and won two great matches against older and higher ranked opponents. She lost to the number 1 seed in
Daniel, Casey and Talia are on the road with Tate in Queensland playing the Rod Laver Gold OJT, the Rod Laver ITF Junior, and the Gold Coast ITF Junior. The girls have already had an outstanding result in the 18 and under singles of the Rod Laver Gold OJT with Talia and Casey making the final against eachother - with Talia prevailing 7-6 6-1 in a well-spirited final! Most of the Brixtonators over the past 6 months have been working on their aerobic conditioning with some very positive results: Daniel, Gavin and Tarik can all run 7kms in less than 28 minutes. Crystal, Casey, Dylan and Rijad can run 6kms in 30 minutes or less. Talia can run 6kms in less than 25 minutes. Gayle and Jaun can run 3kms in less than 15 minutes.
