John Roberts has been involved in professional tennis coaching for over 30 years. He holds numerous coaching qualifications and is currently recognized by Tennis Australia as a:

  • Learning Facilitator for new coaches

  • Talent Search Coach

  • Super 10 coach - delivering the most super 10 players in West Australia including five national finalists.

  • Multiple times Coach WA at National Super 10 Championships at Australian Open

  • Multiple times coach at National Talent Development Camp 

In 2010 John Roberts was one of 5 finalists nominated to receive the Newcombe Medal for Coaching Excellence, recognizing various accomplishments as a coach but most especially in the area of junior development.

John has also served as a Club President at three metropolitan clubs, is the founder and President of the Brixton Street Tennis Centre located in a facility where two previous clubs failed and is currently the President of Gosnells Memorial Park Tennis Club.

John enjoyed a successful career in business and management consulting prior to entering the coaching profession. Applying similar principles to those employed in his varied businesses John has been able to resurrect  tennis clubs where two failed, and grow two other clubs to more than double their size.

John Roberts has coached over 80 nationally ranked players including 12 juniors ranked in the top 10 in Australia,2 Australian Number 1s, and has seen a number of his students become certified as coaches by Tennis Australia.
